Human Right Day is celebrated every year on 10th Dec to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which was adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948 as the shared standard yardstick to protect human rights across the globe. “Optimizing Antimicrobial Use to Prevent Antimicrobial Resistance in Newborns” with this theme for the year 2024, department of Child Health Nursing, KINS observed National Newborn Week (15 - 21st November) on  November 21, 2024 at KIMS Auditorium from 2 pm to 5 pm. Perinatal asphyxia is an important preventable cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is the most effective tool to reduce perinatal asphyxia. To develop hands on skill and attitude among students in basic neonatal procedure, Indian academy of pediatrics conducted a workshop for nursing students. Obstetric & Gynecological Nursing and Child Health Nursing department of KINS, KIIT DU celebrated World Breast Feeding Week 2024 (1 st - 7 th week). This year theme was “Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all”.
