On 6 th April, 2024, the Department of Community Health Nursing, Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal, KINS observed World Health Day 2024 with the theme "My Health, My Right." The Child Health Nursing Department of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT-DU observed the World Autism Awareness Day - 2024 at Divine Child Integral School for Special Children under Ritwikabha Public Charitable Trust. World Obesity Day is observed on 4th March annually to change perspectives on obesity, correct misconceptions, end stigmas, and raise awareness of different non-communicable conditions, which are described as excess body weight in the form of fat. It can cause serious health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, severe arthritis, and even certain cancers. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher is considered overweight and a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese. With the motto of application of theoretical knowledge, creative thinking and innovative ideas, BSc Nursing 3 rd year students participated in pediatric model exhibition conducted by KINS on 3 rd July 2023..All total 90 students were divided in to 9 groups and each group was assigned a specific topic related to child health nursing.
