Approximately 3.5 million babies are born prematurely in India, and one million newborns are discharged from Special Newborn Care Units (SNCUs) annually. Perinatal asphyxia is an important preventable cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is the most effective tool to reduce perinatal asphyxia. To develop hands on skill and attitude among students in basic neonatal procedure, Indian academy of pediatrics conducted a workshop for nursing students. Obstetric & Gynecological Nursing and Child Health Nursing department of KINS, KIIT DU celebrated World Breast Feeding Week 2024 (1 st - 7 th week). This year theme was “Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all”.
