On a pathway to foster creativity  by involving students in project-based learning Child health Nursing model exhibitions was organized by the Department of Child Health Nursing, Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences. It aimed to simplify concepts by utilizing hands-on displays, visuals, and interactive activities of students. BSc Nursing 3 rd year students participated in the Child Health Nursing model exhibition conducted by KINS on 3 rd November 2023. All students were divided into nine groups and each group was assigned a specific topic of child health nursing i.e. Play Material for Infancy & Toddler,Play Material for Preschooler & School age,Age appropriate complementary feeding & techniques of feeding,Techniques of breast feeding, Immunization & cold chain, Growth & development of Infant& Toddler,Growth & development of Infant& Toddler, Care of baby under radiant warmer, Organizational set up of NICU.
In the era of innovation and invention, this serves as a very effective platform for students to showcase their creativity and disseminate updated health information. The Child Health Nursing laboratory, KINS became lively with a display of various attractive models. Every model was based on a theme with a sub-theme that depicts a crucial aspect of a child's well-being. It was evaluated and highly appreciated by Dr.Nirmal Kumar Mohakud, Pediatrician, KIMS, Prof.(Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal of KINS and Prof. (Dr.)Anusuya Pattanayak, HOD, Community Health Nursing, KINS. Out of them, the best three models were selected as 1 st ,2 nd and 3 rd position. All other batches of BSc, MSc and GNM students and faculties of KINS visited this exhibition.
