Demand for quality healthcare industry workforce is at all times high globally. Indian nurses’ requirement has also increased exponentially. Vienna Healthcare company named WIENER GESUNDHEITSVERBUND in coordination with Dr. Ajay Pradhan, Vice President, Institute Industry Interface (3i) KIIT University / KISS University & Mr. Pushpender Dixit, Joint Director CSR & Corporate Relations KISS organized an online placement & training orientation program for our B.Sc Nursing 7th semester UG students.
A pre-program Google meet was held on 14-12-24 with Dr. Ajay & Mr. Pushpender, Mr. Sameer Kumar Das, Associate Dean, SOL, KIIT-DU, Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal KINS, Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice Principal, KINS & faculties responsible for placement activities at KINS. The pertinent bullet points were discussed and the agenda was set for the online placement & training orientation program which was held on 16-12-2024 at 5.00 PM IST. Dr. Von George from Vienna Healthcare company, WIENER GESUNDHEITSVERBUND and his team joined the session online along with Dr. Ajay Pradhan & Mr. Pushpender Dixit. Principal KINS, KIIT-DU, Mr. Pravin Gupta from SOL, KIIT-DU, faculty coordinators and 90 students of B.Sc Nursing 7th semester joined the event offline. Mr. Chandan Pradhan, Asso. Prof. KINS read out the agenda of the meet and welcomed the guests. Dr. Ajay & Mr.Pushpender also briefed the audience about the importance of such a prized opportunity for the students & alumni of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences. Dr. Von George finally took over the session with his informative talk to motivate students for the opportunities ahead in Vienna, Austria and the other European Countries as well. He also expressed that he had revied the curriculum design of the nursing students of KIIT University and said its at par with the highest standards required to work in their country. He clearly stated the facilities of these EU countries and the benefits of working in their healthcare industry. He also explained the process of training and placement and the German language training of the students before selection for recruitment. After his elaborate orientation students interacted with these industry experts on the various aspects of recruitment process and the working and living standards in these counties. Our students are highly motivated and enthused by
the assurance of the speakers and are very much willing to take up new roles and responsibilities and the thriving opportunities ahead.
The meet ended with vote of thanks and the assurance that the students would be participating wholeheartedly in the training and give consent for the same. We the faculties of KINS are highly thankful to the authorities of KIIT-DU for arranging such student friendly activities from time to time.
