The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) successfully organized Nationwide CPR Awareness Week from 13th October to 17th October 2025 with the aim of sensitizing students and the community about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives during cardiac emergencies.
Day 1: Inauguration and Pledge Ceremony (13.10.2025)
The event commenced with a formal inauguration on 13th October 2025 at 10:30 AM. A pledge was administered by the Hon`ble Secretary, reaffirming the commitment of faculty and students towards life-saving practices. The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of all students and faculty members, setting a positive tone for the week.
Day 2: Street Play and Rally (14.10.2025)
On 14th October, a street play and awareness rally were conducted by 70 students. The rally aimed to spread CPR awareness among the general public. The street play vividly portrayed emergency scenarios and the significance of timely CPR, drawing the attention of local communities and onlookers.
Day 3: Quiz and Poster Competition (15.10.2025)
The third day featured a quiz competition and a poster-making competition, fostering academic engagement and creative expression among students. The events witnessed active participation, showcasing the students’ in-depth understanding of CPR procedures and emergency response techniques.
Day 4: CPR Awareness Booth (16.10.2025)
On 16th October, 5th semester B.Sc. Nursing students set up an informative awareness booth on campus. The booth provided hands-on demonstrations, pamphlets, and one-on-one interactions, allowing visitors to learn and clarify doubts related to CPR techniques.
Day 5: Mass Demonstration and Valedictory Ceremony (17.10.2025)
The final day began with a mass CPR demonstration by the 7th semester B.Sc. Nursing students, showcasing proper techniques and the correct steps of CPR to a large audience. This was followed by the valedictory session held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, marking the formal conclusion of the awareness week. The session included feedback, prize distribution for competitions, and acknowledgments to all contributors.

The CPR Awareness Week at KINS was a grand success, marked by enthusiastic participation and impactful outreach activities. It not only enhanced the knowledge and skills of nursing students but also significantly contributed to community awareness.
