The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a vibrant and informative Model Exhibition in the Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing subject on 08.03.2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event commenced with a warm welcome to students and faculty members, followed by an introduction to the diverse models displayed on the ground floor of the college building.
The exhibition was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Mohini, Assistant Professor, O&G, PBMH, KIMS, and Mrs. Trupti Rekha Swain, Associate Professor, Community Health Nursing Department, KINS, who evaluated the exhibition. They took the opportunity to address the students, offering words of encouragement and commendation for their innovative and impressive efforts in creating the models.
This Model Exhibition was a platform for B.Sc. 7th-semester students to showcase their creativity through various models based on 8 key topics: Fetal Development up to 40 weeks, Placenta and Cord Abnormalities, Types of Pelvis, Abnormal Presentations, Types of Episiotomy, Different Family Planning Methods, Labor Room Setting, and Placenta Previa. A total of 8 groups participated, with each group consisting of 11 students. Every model was thoughtfully designed, and the dedication of the students was evident in the high-quality presentations.
The faculties of different departments carefully assessed the exhibition, engaging with the students to understand the intricacies of each model. The exhibition also attracted students from various other semesters, who thoroughly enjoyed exploring the creative displays.
To conclude the event, Prof. Dr. Niyati Das, Principal of the School of Nursing, and Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal and Head of the O&G Nursing Department, delivered an inspiring speech, applauding the students for their hard work, creativity, and keen interest in the subject matter. They praised the students for their commitment and innovative approach to the project.
