The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) successfully organized Nationwide CPR Awareness Week from 13th October to 17th October 2025 with the aim of sensitizing students and the community about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. Day 1: Inauguration and Pledge Ceremony (13.10.2025) The event commenced with a formal inauguration on 13th October 2025 at 10:30 AM. A pledge was administered by the Hon`ble Secretary, reaffirming the commitment of faculty and students towards life-saving practices. Global Digital Health Summit was organized by Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, Chairman Academy of Digital Health Sciences in collaboration with National Health Authority, Ministry of Ayush, Electronics & Information Technology, ICMR, Global Initiative on Digital Health, Govt. of Maharashtra, Indian Nursing Council & Indian Medical Association from 19th to 21st September 2025 at the landmark venue of Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. KINS MSc Nursing 2nd year Child Health Nursing students participated in NEOCON 2025 on 21st September 2025 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. This 12th Annual Conference of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) Odisha State Branch was organized in collaboration with UNICEF, NHM Odisha and the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha. The event followed a pre-conference workshop on Critical child health nursing care on 20th September held at seminar hall, Block E, KIMS. Throughout the conference, emphasis was placed on low-cost interventions, early respiratory management, antibiotic stewardship, RSV prophylaxis, neuroprotection in preterm infants and optimal nutrition for very-low-birth-weight babies. On 12 August 2025, the NSS wings of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT-DU, organized a flash mob from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at KIIT Campus-3, OAT-2, under the theme “YaARIYouthAgainstRagging.” The event was executed by the student NSS coordinators and volunteers from the B.Sc and GNM Nursing programs of KINS, under the guidance of NSS Program Officer Ms. Jayshree Pradhan (Tutor, KINS) and Co-Program Officer Mr. Debasis Pradhan (Tutor, KINS). “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems” with this theme for the year 2025, Child Health Nursing department of KINS celebrated World Breast Feeding Week 2025 from 1st August to 7th August 2025. This was attended by GNM 2nd year, B.Sc Nursing 6th semester, MSc Nursing 1st year and 2nd year including KINS faculties. On 1st august, a workshop was conducted on  “Facility based Newborn Care (FBNBC) and Essential Newborn Care (ENBC)” at KIMS auditorium from 2 pm onwards. In pursuit of academic excellence and professional development, the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing of KINS, KIIT-DU organized a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) session on the theme “Emergency Management of Patients and Emergency Drugs” on 4th August 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital (PBMH), Bhubaneswar.
