World AIDS Day is observed every year on 1st December to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, show solidarity with people living with HIV, and remember those who have lost their lives to the disease. The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) successfully organized Nationwide CPR Awareness Week from 13th October to 17th October 2025 with the aim of sensitizing students and the community about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. Day 1: Inauguration and Pledge Ceremony (13.10.2025) The event commenced with a formal inauguration on 13th October 2025 at 10:30 AM. KINS MSc Nursing 2nd year Child Health Nursing students participated in NEOCON 2025 on 21st September 2025 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. This 12th Annual Conference of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) Odisha State Branch was organized in collaboration with UNICEF, NHM Odisha and the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha. The event followed a pre-conference workshop on Critical child health nursing care on 20th September held at seminar hall, Block E, KIMS. Throughout the conference, emphasis was placed on low-cost interventions, early respiratory management, antibiotic stewardship, RSV prophylaxis, neuroprotection in preterm infants and optimal nutrition for very-low-birth-weight babies.
