Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), a constituent of KIIT Deemed to be University, organized a “Research Project Expo–2026” with the theme “Evidence in Action: Elevating the Nursing Profession through Outcomes” on 31st August 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at KINS. The expo was inaugurated by Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Director General, KIMS, by cutting the ribbon, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal, KINS, and Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice- Principal, KINS. The event was also graced by distinguished evaluators, including Dr. Krishna Mishra, Asso. Prof., Dept. of community medicine, KIMS, Dr. Vartika Srivastava, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Pharamacology, KIMS, Dr. Benu Gopal Mohapatra, Professor/Director Consultancy Services, School of Civil Engineering, KIIT DU, Dr. Atul Bajoria, Asso. Prof., KIDS, KIIT DU, Dr. Shanta Chakrabarty, Asso. Dean CRF, School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT DU, Mr.Himanshu Pradhan, Asso. Prof.,School of Public Health, KIIT DU along with the faculty members of KINS. A total of 48 research posters were displayed during the expo. Among these, the final-year B.Sc. Nursing students presented their research work in 15 groups, while the final-year M.Sc. Nursing students presented 33 research project posters. The presentations covered a range of relevant nursing and healthcare research topics, reflecting the students’ efforts to apply evidence-based approaches to nursing practice. The expert evaluators provided valuable suggestions, appreciated the students’ presentation skills, and encouraged them in their research endeavours. At the end of the session, the winners were announced. In the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal, KINS; Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal, KINS; and Dr. Amlan Panda, Assistant Registrar, Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) Cell, KIIT DU, certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners. The expo provided a valuable platform for young and budding researchers to showcase their innovative ideas and research findings. At the conclusion of the event, the organizers, Mrs. Debajani Sahoo, Associate Professor, and Ms. Smruti Pragyan Sahoo, Assistant Professor, KINS, expressed their sincere gratitude to the respected evaluators for sharing their valuable time, expertise, and constructive suggestions with the students.
