The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University organized a two‑days workshop on “Empowering Nursing Research through Effective Data Analysis and Interpretation” on 4th July and 6th July 2026. The sessions were conducted at LT‑4, KINS Campus‑5 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The workshop was led by Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena, Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He shared his expertise in public health and research methodologies, guiding participants on the importance of data analysis and effective interpretation in nursing research.
The participants were M.Sc. Nursing 1st year and 2nd year students, who actively engaged in discussions and hands‑on exercises. The sessions covered statistical tools, interpretation techniques, and their application in evidence‑based practice, making the workshop highly interactive and practical.
A special highlight of the event was the felicitation of Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena by Dr. Prof. Niyati Das,(Principal) which added a formal note of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the academic growth of nursing students.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. DebjaniSahoo, Associate Professor of Mental Health Nursing, who acknowledged the efforts of the organizers, the resource person, and the enthusiastic participation of the students. Her words marked a graceful closure to the two‑day workshop.
